Teladoc Health, Inc, a multinational telemedicine and virtualhealthcare company headquartered in the United States and considered to be the first telemedicine company, was looking to relocate their Manhattan office. At the time, they were located in the flatiron district. Their office space had limited light and virtually no views to speak of. The installation was dated and the layout did not mean the needs of their staff. After spending months working with major multinational brokerage with limited success finding something inspiring and within their budget. A Teladoc member connected with Summit. Summit broadened their horizons and introduced Teladoc to properties slightly outside their targeted area. Upon touring they noticed that cool, creative and "techie" spaces do not only reside in the Flat Iron neighborhoods. Solution: Within 1 week, a space was located by Summit that was built beautifully and exactly to their specifications. The space had beautiful ceramic floors that looked like an elevated polish concrete, exposed industrial columns, and glass fronted offices. The space even had phone booths that were already built in. The light and air was a substantial improvement from where they came from. The location was also in the commuter triangle which made it easier to commute back and forth from their Westchester headquarters. All Teladoc had to do was buy furniture, install cabling and decorate.
